Growing up in a two-story home, my brother and I used to have to wait at the top of the steps and ring a bell to wake our parents up on Christmas morning. Once awake, our parents would then take turns sitting at the bottom of the steps, watching us sweat, as they enjoyed their cups of coffee. They'd comment on how many presents there were and how BIG they were! The rule in our house was: no presents until mom and dad had their first cup of coffee. At the time, it was absolute torture to wait. Now as an adult, I totally appreciate why that rule existed.
 
Today, I cannot smell French vanilla coffee without being reminded of Christmas morning with my family, and this candle does just that.
